Explain how the theme of love is introduced in scene I through the character of Romeo. How is Romeo's affection for Rosaline important in characterizing his passionate nature?

Even though they've never actually met, Romeo is still infatuated with Rosaline. He is a character who is quick to fall in love, a romantic. This is almost a foreshadowing for what will happen with Juliet. Romeo loves love and always tries to be a peacemaker, he will do anything for the one he loves, even die for them. He is pretty much an over dramatic lovesick puppy.
