Why does social class relate to life today?

Social Class relates to life today because of how humans are. Even though we might not like to admit it most of us are still egotistical and think we are better than a lot of people. Sometimes, depending on the person, this ego can skyrocket resulting in a social class because it becomes a norm to compare yourself to people like that.
