Two main differences can be found between Jacobean audience and Today's audience.

The theater was one of the most popular places to go for entertainment in Jacobean times.

This is a difference in that today, we may find several ways of entertainment that are more popular than theater today. For example, people would rather go to the cinema, have dinner or watch a series on netflix. In Jacobean times, the theatre was extremely popular and people of all classes would go to watch plays. Theater was the first option for them when it came to entertainment.

    2. Jacobean theater included very vivid violent scenes.

The other difference is that, Jacobean theater included violent scenes, sometimes they would bring a slave to be beaten up, or a prostitute to be raped. The jacobean audience enjoyed seeing blood on stage! Nowadays, it is very deifferent in that respect, audiences would never celebrate such blunt and violente scenes, although we can still see violence, we know that actors are acting and no one is actually getting hurt.

In 1605 (November, 5th) the Gunpowder plot took place. This was a plan designed by Guy Fawks and others; he along with a group of people tried to blow up the parliament. However, they were stopped just on time. Guy Fawks and the other people involved were executed. Shakespeare's inspiration comes from this event, he wrote Macbeth thinking of what could have happened if the Gunpowder plot succeeded.

During Jacobean times, the king was James I.
