How does Odysseus prevent his men from being lured by the Sirens' song?

    He tie himself to the main pole and plug his men ears with bees wax

    I don't recall all of the story, but I know he had his crew tie him to the mast of the ship and then had them plug their ears with sponge or something. I haven't read this story in forever, but I'm sure Odysseus has a freak out session while his crew was fine.
