It was important time where the African Americans showed their talent. There were lots of African Americans who became famous musicians, visual artists, got involved with theatrics, and literature. It was a time of growth for the African Americans also known as the New Negro Movement. It took place in between 1917 - 1935 and the African Americans flourished. The Jazz age was a result of these awesomely talented musicians. People of the Harlem Renaissance include W. E. B Du Bois, Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, Josephine Baker, etc.
