In my opinion, the correct answer is D. Because "A Doll's House" dealt with a woman who was missing her freedom, and is quite controversial because of her decision to leave everybody, even her children so that she could finally be free, this play was criticized a lot. It dealt with social norms, and what is right to do and what isn't. Ibsen exposed real social problems, but didn't really give any plausible solutions.
