    That he should imagine witnessing one thing and being lied to about it by telling him another thing just because he is not in a position to do anything about it.

    Explanation:

    During the Nazi party dorminace, most people are afraid to do or say anything because they are sure that it would earn them instant death should it be critical of the government or if their views run contrary to theirs.

    The interviewer, Will was asked by Hans to imagine a situation where he leaves in a region in the state where it riains every single day. after coming back from work, the person is always drenched in water but on the national broadcast made by the government, they were simply told that it is a bright sunny day on daily basis.

    They are aware that they are being lied to but are not in a position to do anything contrary to the opinion of the Nazi government.
