Aron claims the same answer could also be found by adding either - 5 + 3 or - 3 + 5. What is the error in Aaron's reasoning?

    It is simply just incorrect. When in an addition or subraction problem if the numbers are switched there is a different outcome. However in a multiplication problem if the numbers are switched the outcome will be the same.
