Which sentence correctly uses subject-verb agreement?

A. Tommy the Clown, as well as the dancers, has agreed to perform at the high school prom.

D. Tommy the Clown, as well as the dancers, are performing at the high school prom.

    Correct answer is C.

    The answer is {D}. In each sentence there was a problem with the agreement between 'has' and 'agreed'. The only sentences that made any sense was {D}. Plus I had a similar question on one of my papers.
