After enjoying several years of good crops, a farmer and his family have paid off their mortgage on the farm. However, this year, a crop of locusts has descended on their fields, destroying everything. The farmer fears he will not be able to pay off the loan on his equipment. Who or what is the antagonist?

    The downfall of the crop of locusts is the antagonist because is the one making problems to the protagonist which is the farmer.
