    The correct answer is B. A cannot be correct because of the inversion, since the prepositional phrase 'under the tree' is at the beginning of the sentence, there has to be a comma after it. And also, there shouldn't be a comma throughout the rest of the sentence. C and D are incorrect because the comma is placed in the wrong spot in both cases.
