    Put citations around everything that comes directly from the text, even when taking notes.

    -Paraphrase or summarize, and makes sure you use your own words entirely without rearranging or replacing few words from the text.

    -Read the original piece of writing then put it into your own words without looking at the original piece of work.

    -Check your paraphrase against the original text to be sure you have not accidentally used the same phrases or words, and that the information is accurate.

    - use references at the end of your writing which give accurate and full information about the author or documents from which you took the information.
