The Giver Novel:

Describe the society that Jonas lives in. How is it different from our society? How is it governed, and in what ways is harmony maintained? How are rules enforced? What is the goal of the differences from our society that those in charge of Jonas's society have established?

    It's different from our society because everyone is formed to the government's will, and everything is the same. Harmony is maintained because of the extreme government control, and how they convince people that it is their own idea. I don't remember how rules are enforced or the last question, sorry.
