Assonance takes location when or greater words, close to each other repeat the identical vowel sound, but begin with unique consonant sounds. The identical vowel sound of the fast vowel "-e-" repeats itself in almost all the phrases, except the exact article. The words do percentage the same vowel sounds, however start with specific consonant sounds - not like alliteration, which involves repetition of the same consonant sounds. Assonance is primarily utilized in poetry, as a way to add rhythm and track, by means of adding an internal rhyme to a poem.
