When Dawn wants something, she yells out to her mother from the other side of the house, rather than going to where her mother is. Her mother usually goes to Dawn and gives her what she requested. One day, Dawn's mother stops responding to Dawn when she yells from the other side of the house. Dawn then yells louder and longer, but after several days, Dawn no longer yells out to her mother from the other side of the house.
