My best answer would be A because I'm not sure if there are any details I'm missing but i don't think the author intends to show the people are afraid, and there is no indications of extreme heat, and finally, the authors use of "crept" in the paragraph indicates that it is rising slowly, but the author IS indicating the beautiful scenery. so by process of elimination,

    A is my best answer.
