The MLA (Modern Language Association) citation style uses what is known as parenthetical citation. This style requires placing relevant source of information after a quote or a paragraph. If the aouthor's name appears in the text before the citation, the reference will consist the page number only, if not - then the author's last name and the page number of the quotation are required. All in-text sources of information must correspond to the source of information on the bibliography/works cited page.
