Claire hurried over to Galen as he was closing his locker. She asked what he could remember about the previous night's game. Galen turned and looked Claire directly in the eye. "Why are you talking to me?" he asked, and started to walk away. Claire said she thought he was her friend. Galen laughed at the word "friend," and he continued walking down the hall, out of sight.

    It could not be the first one because it doesn't say anything about what sports they play. it couldn't be the 3rd one because obviously they are not friends, galen was not very polite to Claire so it could not be the last one, so the answer is b) "Galen and Claire have an argument outside Galen’s locker."
