Why are long poems a problem when it comes to unity of impression

    According to Edgar Allan Poe and Charles Baudelaire, long poems have to be read in multiple turns to finish them. That is why any impression that you get that is of high importance would have to be paused, and then you would not be able to recreate it properly during your continuation. Short poems however don't have this problem because they have an effective impression.
