What must you do in the rebuttal of your argument to challenge a writer's evidence? Explain why it makes sense. Question his character. Explain his position. Present more recent evidence.

    Present more recent evidence.

    You don't want to lend credence to the opposing side, therefore choice 1 and 3 wouldn't work. Character has nothing to do with argument, so choice 2 wouldn't make sense either.
