(Eight Lines Poem, using the abab, cdcd rhyme scheme)

    The eyes of the lady

    were not pearls but rock,

cold, damp, as in a shady

    day, leaving one in shock.

    The chairs were arranged

    previously, without my consent.

    I still remember her deranged

    eyes, her pupils, her resent.

    Explanation:

The start of something new (a)

when the life began to skip; (b)

    Times flew (a)

but not without any unwanted trip. (b)

    I was given a new chance (c)

    when they came along. (d)

Leading to a life of music and dance, (c)
