Excerpt 1 When she went down her ladder she found her grandfather had already left the hut. He was standing outside looking at the sky and examining the landscape as he did every morning, to see what sort of weather it was going to be. Excerpt 2 Then Heidi ran round to the fir trees to enjoy the sound she loved so well, and with every fresh gust of wind which came roaring through their branches she gave a fresh jump and cry of delight. Based on the excerpts provided, what traits do Heidi and her grandfather share? A) They are both afraid of losing one another B) They are both giddy and easily excited C) They are both gruff and short on words D) They are both sensitive to their environment

    In the first excerpt the grandfather is outside looking to see what the weather will be like for the day. In the second excerpt Heidi is also outside enjoying the environment. The two of them both feed off their environment. There is nothing in the passage to indicate that they are afraid of losing one another. While Heidi is giddy and excited in excerpt 2, there is not thing that shows her grandfather is giddy and excited. We don't have enough information to determine whether or not they are short on words.
