In Johnny Got his Gun, which of these ideas does the narrator use to support his thesis? Does an American who fought for freedom feel any better than a Canadian, who did not have to? If you are asked to die for your country, you should have the right to say yes or no or think it over. What kind of freedom were people sent out to die for? Was it freedom from work or disease or death? all of these

In the novel "Johnny Got His Gun", Dalton Trumbo wants to his readers to reflect on the true meaning of freedom. Therefore, the last choice pertaining to what type of freedom do the Americans want is the correct answer. Trumbo was only inspired by a former Canadian soldier's suffering. He chose the World War I setting but did not directly attack drafting.
