What is ironic about Huck's statement, "We was all as glad as we could be, but Tom was the gladdest of all, because he had a bullet in the calf of his leg."?

    The irony is them being 'Glad'

    Explanation:

    'Glad' was used as an opposite of Pain or Sorrow. They were all in pains but Tom's case was the worst, because he had a bullet wound.
