Lord of the flies do jack and ralph have the same motive for hunting the beast? explain why or why not.

    Jacks character represents evil, his motive for killing the beast isn't only for meat, but for the thrill of killing and to establish dominance. While Ralphs character represents intelligence, civility and leadership and his hunt for the beast is more of a trip to find fire again to be rescued.
