Why is the witches' Sabbath the climax of the story?

    In the Young Goodman Brown story, the witches' Sabbath is considered as the climax of the story because Goodman Brown is tempted in the forest by the devil figure, who accompanied him to the witches' sabbath. But the witches' sabbath is a cult wherein he is initiated into a brotherhood of evil.
