Which sentence is most appropriate for a letter informing a job applicant that his or her application has been rejected? We regret to inform you that you have not been selected to interview for this position. This is to inform you that the spot has already been filled with a better candidate. We will reconsider your application if we fail to find a better candidate. This is to inform you that it will take a while to find a good candidate for this position.
