In the older days, marriage can be taken lightly and an advantage to those who are in the need of money or for reputation. There are some parents who choose the partners for their children to marry which breaks the real meaning behind marriage. For example, by setting Juliet up to marry Paris, Lady Capulet is upping the family status by marrying her only daughter off to a rich man with high power. As time flies by, I do not believe such cases as these are still continued. To my honest opinion, I believe parents shouldn't force their children to marry someone who they choose of for inexplicable reasons as it can lead to mental health issues. They should be given to freedom to decide what they think is best for them and whatever makes them happy.
