The messenger's description of Creon satisfies the criteria of a tragic hero

    Explanation:

The messenger describes Creon as someone who was once blessed, he had saved the land from destruction at hands of their enemy.

He described Creon as one from a lineage of royalty who reigned with supremacy but lost all as a result of its pride. He became full of sorrow and regret.

This does sound like a tragic hero because he fell from a position of royalty and power to nothingness. He was neither good nor bad and had a tragic flaw which led to his downfall. He realized his mistakes after he lost two people where dear to him; his wife and son.
