Amelia Bloomer stop advocating for bloomers because Her ideas gained popularity within society.

Bloomers were named after Amelia Bloomer because under her influence, she made the said style widely-known. This style was already worn before but it only gained popularity when Amelia Bloomer introduced it to the public by writing about it in The Lily, a temperance newspaper.
