How does Jem's defiance of atticus's order to leave make him similar to atticus in scout's estimation? (Chapter 15 of To Kill a Mockingbird)

    Atticus was determined to stay and protect Tom Robinson, no matter the cost. Jem's refusal to leave was based on his desire to protect his father ... it was something he needed to do.
