Distinguish between the mass of an object and the object's weight

    Mass is the measurement of the matter in an object, and weight is the force of gravity on an object.

    The difference doesn't really show numerically in earth's gravity, but if you were say on the moon, then the amount matter of the object would remain the same, but the weight would decrease because of the moon's gravity.
