In part one of "Cruel Tribute," how do King Aegeus's actions affect the advancement of the plot?

    In the first part of the Cruel Tribute, the King Aegeus' actions have great effects on the advancement of the plot. He causes King Minos to become angry, because King Minos believed that it was him who killed his son Androgeos thus he asked for a tribute in replacement of his son's life.
