Option correct is the last one: Lorenzo was the ruler of Florence.

Lorenzo de 'Medici (1449 - 1492), also known as Lorenzo the Magnificent, was an Italian statesman and ruler of the Republic of Florence during the Italian Renaissance. He was the prince, patron of the arts, diplomat, banker, poet and Renaissance philosopher, belonging to the Medici family, and also great-grandfather to Queen Catherine de Medici. He managed to maintain peace in Italy during his reign.

His life coincided with the cusp of the early Italian Renaissance. His death marks the end of the Golden Age of the city of Florence.
