Suspense : It's a state of feeling of excitement or uncertainly about what may happen.
There are three elements of suspense they are : Fear, Doubt, Hope/Faith

Lot's of people don't really loike to get scared while, most of them love to read thrilling books loike "The Golden Icon" by Janet Pywell or "The Scared Symbol" by Paula Wynne and love to get scared by it, But here you're question is "Why do we love suspense?" well ... It's because we humans love to triumph over evil. Or even when that moment of catharsis, you release of strong emotions.

wondering when the killer will strike while watching a horror movie.
