    four lines: "There is a place where the sidewalk ends

    And before the street begins,

    And there the grass grows soft and white,

    And there the sun burns crimson bright,

    Why I chose this poem: I think that Shel, is a very talented author. Shel is very funny and smart. He makes up poems that people can relate to.

    Fig. lang: Metaphor. He is exaggerating the brightness of the sun as it is 'burning'. He is also exaggerating the 'look' of the sun to crimson.
