Toby hid his smile as the teacher handed back his test: another perfect score. Knowing the other students would tease him, he quickly turned the paper over on his desk. When his friends asked him what he had gotten, he'd say a C or maybe a B. No, he decided. B was too high; he'd better stick with a C.

    D, he is smart but he does not want the others to tease him. I guess he does not want them to think he is a nerd.
