There are several advantages of Road Accident Fund or as that is generally known RAF.

People who suffer serious accidents on the roads benefit from this fund in case of a serious injury, loss of an unborn baby, loss of a body function or any similar damage. The fund also support those who die in the accidents in respect of supporting their funerals and bearing the expenses.

If someone who is the sole bread-winner for a household dies in an accident (not causing himself the accident) the fund supports the household also. There is also a provision for the one causing accident lest he be mistreated or unjustly penalized by the victim.
