I have a mountain of bills piling up on my desk. What figure of speech is it?

    Answer: It'd be hyperbole.

    Explanation: Hyperbole is exaggeration of speech, i. e. "That thump was so loud, that Hawaii might've thought a volcano erupted" or something along those lines. It's not to be taken seriously, like a literal mountain of paper.
