Bernice says that she will talk to Avery about their relationship when Avery gets his church. At the time he asks, she is simply too stressed to think about their relationship what with Boy Willie and the piano conflict on top of Sutter's ghost hanging around the house. Bernice then decides to ask Avery to bless the house and banish the ghost.

He wants to know what their relationship is and whether it will ever become better, but Bernice says that she is not in the mood for discussing that at the moment. She says that she will talk to him about their relationship again once his church actually starts.
