When more women entered the workforce in 9-to-5 jobs, the company had to change from door-to-door sales to other forms.

    Social forces:

    Social forces are those changes stimulated by the social behavior of the society in general.

    Changing social trends can pressure organizations into making changes. Example is the movement of ads online onto social media networks by advertising company due to a growing trend of strong communication over social media.

    Political forces:

    This are changes due to government and state factors. Government restrictions often force change onto organizations. An example is the effect of import levy and tax laws on prices of commodities.

    Technological forces:

    This are changes brought about by an advancing trends in technology.

    Technological changes can make or break a business. Laptops, smartphones and smart TVs and the Internet has led to the demise of the VHS.

    Economical forces:

    The general state of the economy can force some changes on organisatiins.

    During the 2008 recession, consumers lost their jobs and cut back on their spending. These economic downturns had a major impact on businesses.
