Imagine that you are filling out a graphic organizer that outlines Roosevelt's main ideas. List a main idea from the beginning, one from the middle, and one from the end of the speech. Use at least one sentence for each main idea.

    In the beginning, President Roosevelt is trying to calm the nerves of American by stating " ... he only thing we have to fear it fears itself ... ". During the middle of his speech, he relates the present economic troubles to those of the past. The goes into greater detail until he explains how past Americans have over come there challenges and that we will do the same. He concludes his speech with how he plans to bring back economic stability to American
