"The Eyes Have It" is a short story written by Ruskin Bond. The story is about a blind narrator and a blind girl, who pretend not not blind with each other.

In the story, the narrator pretended not to be blind as he wanted to impress the girl. He was amused by her presence in the train coach him. This is evident when the narrator begins to describe the rhythm of her movements and the mesmerising scent of her perfume. The narrator tries to talk to the girl and tries to impress her by telling her how Mussoorie looks like in October. The narrator must have been afraid that if the girl knew about his blindness then she might not talk to him or reject him.
