Which sentence is punctuated correctly?

a. The little boy proudly wrote the letters of his first name: C, H, A, and

d. b. He showed the paper with his name on it to: his father, his cousin, and his sister.

c. Next week he'll probably be ready to write the letters of his middle name J, O, E, and L.

d. The people he wants to show his paper to are: his mother, his brother, and his baby-sitter.

    A is correct because before adding a colon in any sentence it is really important that the preceding is a complete sentence. For example, "The little boy proudly wrote the letters of his first name" is a complete sentence while " The people he wants to show his paper to are" is not a complete sentence.
