Chura & Marwe is an African folk tale and a love story.

Chura was a boy with a toad-face and Marwe was a lovely girl. They loved each other.

They got distracted and crops in their fields were ate by animal.

Marwe jumped in a lake to kill herself. Chura ran away from his family.

Marwe ended up in the land of dead. An old lady took her in and let her stay in her home.

Chura wandered around but no one loved him like Marwe.

Marwe wanted to come back to life. The old lady asked her a question and gifted her lots of gems.

She told Marwe she would marry a man named Simba.

Chura killed a lion one day and villagers called him Simba.

Chura and Marwe were adopted by mean people and worked in the fields,

    watching crops and herding goats.

When Chura and Marwe were out protecting beans from bears and birds, they

forgot the time. The beans were gone.

Worried she be beaten, Marwe jumped in the lake.

Marwe floated to the Land With No Light and lived with a little old lady in a little hut.

Chura wandered from village to village asking for food until one night he killed a lion and saved the cattle.

He became a warrior and got a new name.

Chura wanted to go back to her life and the old lady sent her to the gate.

The guards at gate gave her a pot full of fancy jewelry after questioning her.

They told her she must marry a man name Lion.

Chura found Marwe with his new name, Lion and they got married.
