The behavior would go into extinction

    Explanation:

The most efficient way to promote a behavior is to reinforce it, also known as positive reinforcement. Zuoxin's behavior of telling jokes was reinforced by his roommate as he laughed at the joke. However, one the reinforcement disappears, extinction of the behavior of telling jokes occur. The speed at which this extinction occurs is dependent on the schedule of reinforcement. This is according to operant conditioning.
