The fact scientists were able to put a spaceship on the moon does not have anything to do with curing a disease. It shows a great deed of scientists, but those are unrelated things. Therefore, it is a display of false assumption. It is like saying that since Bill Gates created Windows, he will be able to create a cure for AIDS.
