Is this sentence gramatically correct? It's beneficial for a person to learn how to apply makeup because there's more to it than just improving appearance, but it is also a good way to boost a person's self confidence.

    It is technically grammatically correct, but it could be worded better. For example, lose the contractions, add a comma before the word because, change it to self-confidence, and get rid of the word but.
