    d. the catching of King Arthur's sword

    Explanation:

At the end of the story, as it was told in Morte d'Arthur by Sir Thomas Malory, Sir Bedivere takes Arthur's sword, Excalibur, and by the command of the dying king, Bedivere throws it away into a lake. At the moment in which the knight throws Excalibur, the arm of the Lady of the Lake, a fairy, rises from the water and catches the sword before it touches the surface of the lake and waves it three times, then immerses into the water. According to the legend, the Lady of the Lake gave Excalibur to Arthur when he started his reign. This is a clear supernatural element, that includes the presence of a fairy that watches after the lake and that takes the sword back at the end of the story.
