The answer is " D. Hopeless".

Endgame is written by Samuel Beckett and is a one-demonstration play with four characters. It was initially composed in French (entitled Fin de partie); Beckett himself made an interpretation of it into English. The play was first performed in a French-dialect generation at the Royal Court Theater in London, opening on 3 April 1957. It is regularly considered, alongside such functions as Waiting for Godot, to be among Beckett's most critical works.
